Right after I posted my "Peak Character Design Meme" (as it did include Hapirun in it alongside with some other Punirunes) some hours later, these was this one person in my FB group named: Valerie Pacitto who was basically one of those people who asked a few questions about Hapirun (probably they don't know Hapirun's name at the moment) but the thing that was in their post wasn't about the questions (as I didn't mind them), it was about calling Hapirun a "Rainbow Barf Boy" (just like I've mentioned it within the meme itself) and "rainbow little vomit"... 😐
*in Yosemite Sam's voice* Gee, that almost sounds like "rainbow little varmint" in my own ears!
*in normal voice back again* Yeah, first the batteries stuff (that I got sick of at some point especially with someone else wanted advice to fix their new Punirunes toy that they've tried to have a piece a paper to it despite the battery sign keeps popping up no matter if they were using the cheap or good batteries as I wasn't an "expert" onto fixing that kind of problem of theirs), and suddenly now this...
*sarcasm intensifies* Great, just great!
*back to being unsarcastic* Anyway, I just thought the nicknames were simply a bit cringe to say the least. And my god, these names are much worse than the word: "adorkable" out there! But I don't mind "adorkable" tho. Even I'm just not a fan of these "dumb nicknames" as I didn't want to start unnecessary drama in my Punirunes group suddenly... Speaking of "unnecessary drama", there's the animation community on how some people are treating "Fixed" lately and also with the newly announced original Disney film named: "Hexed" as it has no official trailer out as I'm writing this. Just had to bring it up for the heck of it since the animation community is getting out of control with those kinds of things!
I'm wondering if the "55 characters" on the box is counting all the color variants of each adult character, since there sure don't seem to be quite that many on the chart or in the character list on the device itself. But there seem to be a few more other than the ones on that list... are those characters (such as Togerun) actually obtainable or are they on a different version?
ReplyDelete*If there are 55 characters, there must be some which we're missing, since I went through the whole rundown. Just wasn't sure.
ReplyDeleteAs I counted the adults separately including the baby... I guess the kids are not meant to be counted separately (as to why it does say "55" on there)? And as for Togerun, I haven't seen them be a playable character as of yet so far as they're more likely as that "bonus character" that appears within the games for the virtual pets only (like in "Squish Panic" for example).
DeleteThat's pretty much what I thought. I looked a bit closer at the PDF for the growth chart found here (https://assets.ctfassets.net/r3qu44etwf9a/EdWUn7bXzUYD2VjCM4i5x/d2528be5571d71f74a41f400f2d9b687/T19400_0001_20148957_1GML_PTW_R3_PUN_Ina_Punirunes_Interactive__Web.pdf) and there are 27 characters, so I suppose give or take that does count all the color variants.
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm curious about the items you have to use to evolve your Punirune. I'm not entirely sure of the names of those items. Could you point me to a place where they're listed? Thanks.
(I'm very new to Punirunes btw)
Incidentally I've not been able to find a growth chart for the two newer models ANYWHERE. Do you know of one, since I'd like to know more about them.
DeleteI already know about that certain PDF file by now... As for the growth charts, they were only available within the Spin Master version when it comes to all of the adults being featured in there... But Takara Tomy doesn't do that unlike what Spin Master does as I gotta guess you gotta figure "who is who" on your own. And as for the yellow, red, and blue stuff that they were used to evolve the Punirunes (alongside with cooking), they're called "seeds" in the Spin Master version, but within the subtitled version of the Punirunes anime that you can find on YouTube, they're called: "Puni-essence" (as I tend to like that better rather than calling them "seeds" in my book). Even I tend to call the heads just "heads" (as I don't know on what they're called as a group altogether officially aside from each adult would have the first part of their name with the "Puni" word together for each separate "head" within the Japanese toys) if we're talking about the stuff that isn't focusing on the yellow, red, and blue things.
