I know I should've made this one before I just recently made the Glove and Boots one just to get that one out of the way, but you know, I recently had to watch the movie (alongside with a few of the episodes as I'm writing this out so far) to get my own opinion on it. And to me, the movie isn't the funniest from what that I've seen lately, but it does have its moments to be funny... Especially near the ending like with the giant toast and coffee scene on where Steven was eating the toast at a pretty fast rate before he just goes to work. And I gotta say that "Surfin' Frog" song by Dinoysos is a pretty good song that also plays at the end that has me keeping repeating that song even before I watched the full movie! Even I felt bad for Jeanine when the Policeman took Steven away for no real reason when Steven wasn't the thief all along as he tried to say so.
Other than that, the movie's worth a watch if you wanna see more stop motion that you haven't seen before that's likely underrated (even if they're not the "best made" stop-motion figures compared to something like Aardman's characters)... And if you're also into random nonsensical humor to give ya a pretty good laugh or more, then you might have a blast with this one! As for the fandom, many people outside of France and Belgium isn't a whole lot when it comes to the fans out there (such as the US for example) as it's not really known outside of those countries as I've already mentioned.
