While I haven't watched the movie as I'm writing this out, I did see this before online years ago when I was looking at anime songs that I was going through like crazy on YouTube that could make me feel interested into watching them someday no matter if it was from magical girl anime, idol anime or whatever that peaked my interest. And then there's POP IN Q, a magical girl anime movie that doesn't focus on your typical fighting monsters/evil plot or becoming idols, but instead of those things, it actually focuses on dancing. Yep, dancing! From what I saw when it comes to the songs on how there's like a few songs in the movie, there should've been more than that if you're gonna have dancing characters no matter if they're singing or not. Even this movie tries to be a "musical" at some point that doesn't have more than 5 songs in total (aside from another one that was used for the end credits). After all, this movie just feels like a bit of an afterthought that it was a promotion to get Questy popular (as if it tried to do so) to grab people's attention in movie form.
Like, I guess Toei wanted more of their popular magical girl series like Precure to succeed in popularity (especially with the toy sales) probably more than the other magical girl franchises. But hey, it also would've nice to give something like POP IN Q another chance like they've tried to do with other related franchises like Sailor Moon in the past (if they don't make it that messy compared to Sailor Moon). Plus, the movie's short running time to focus on its characters (especially with the main girls with their struggles), it should've been a series instead of trying to pile all of that into one single movie.
